I Practice What I Teach
I'm committed to staying current in AI — here's what I've learned, who I've learned from, and the credentials I've earned along the way.
Formal Credentials
Certified A.I. Specialist
Matt Leitz, Founder & CEO · BotBuilders
Matt Leitz has been building AI-powered chatbots and automation systems since 2005 — long before most people knew what a chatbot was. BotBuilders has helped thousands of businesses generate leads, convert sales, and serve customers automatically across Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and websites. The Certified A.I. Specialist credential requires you to demonstrate real working knowledge of AI — not just theory. To earn it you prove you can create AI content, generate AI images, and apply AI across multiple business functions including sales, marketing, and operations. This was one of my first formal AI certifications and it set the foundation for everything that came after.

Julia McCoy · FirstMovers.ai
Julia McCoy sold her 100-person content agency in 2021 — two years before ChatGPT launched — because she saw AI coming. This comprehensive program covers AI-driven content creation, automation workflows, custom GPT development, and practical business implementation using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, n8n, HeyGen, and ElevenLabs. Weekly live training sessions, 40+ courses, and an industry-recognized credential backed by one of the most respected names in AI education. This wasn't theory. This was implementation, live, every week.

Molly Mahoney · The Prepared Performer
Molly Mahoney launched the world's first AI-focused content membership in 2021 — two full years before AI went mainstream. Her training covers three disciplines I use every single day: writing copy with AI that still sounds human, generating AI images at scale for marketing and content, and building automation workflows that keep a business running without burning the owner out. Her viral content has reached over 39 million views. She knows what she's talking about.

Make My Clone Challenge
Anik Singal · MakeMyClone.ai
Anik Singal has generated over $250 million in online sales and built multiple eight-figure businesses. His 3-day Make My Clone Challenge is one of the most practical AI training events I've attended — because you don't just learn about AI cloning, you actually build your clone during the event. Brain clone, voice clone, image clone, video avatar — all four. The goal is simple and powerful: create a digital version of yourself that can write content, respond to leads, produce videos, and run parts of your business while you focus on what only you can do.

Jeff J Hunter & Jordan Bryant · Independent
Jeff J Hunter created the world's first AI Certified Consultant program and was featured in a 5-page Entrepreneur Magazine centerfold for generating $70,000 in a single weekend using a campaign built 100% with AI. This challenge focused on the intersection of humor, video, and AI — specifically how to create ads that stop the scroll and make people laugh while also making them buy. I already build AI video ads for healthcare clients. This pushed my skills sharply forward.

Kristine Mirelle · LaughMyAdsOff.com
Kristine Mirelle built her first million dollars using only paid ads — while living on a farm in New Mexico with barely any wifi. She has since generated 30 million views and seven figures in sales using one approach: funny ads that convert. Her course teaches a specific system for writing scripts that are both genuinely funny and genuinely effective as ads. I took this because humor is one of the most underused tools in business marketing, and because I believe in learning from people who have actually done the thing they're teaching.

The workshop teaches a repeatable system for generating professional-quality AI images of yourself in any scenario, fast. For someone building an AI education brand, consistent on-brand imagery is a real competitive advantage.

Alicia Lyttle · AI InnoVision
Alicia Lyttle is known as the Queen of AI — a TEDx speaker, AI strategist, and founder of the International Association of Artificial Intelligence Consultants. She has trained government agencies including the Departments of Treasury and Homeland Security, spoken at Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University, and been recognized by JPMorgan Chase as one of 100 Women to KNOW in America. Her Book In A Day Bootcamp is exactly what the name promises — a live, hands-on experience where you leverage AI to write and structure a complete book in a single day. For someone actively writing a book right now, this wasn't just interesting training. It was directly applicable.

Jim Edwards · WriteYourBook.AI
Jim Edwards has been helping entrepreneurs become published authors for nearly 30 years. He is an international bestselling author featured in The New York Times, and the creator of CopyAndContent.AI. His Write Your Book With AI Authority Challenge is a live multi-day event where participants write and publish a real book using Jim's proven system combined with AI tools. In the first challenge he ran, 181 out of 250 participants became published authors — a 72% completion rate in an industry where most online courses see less than 5%. I took this because I'm writing a book right now and wanted to learn from someone who has done this at scale.

Darby Rollins, The AI Author · Gen AI University
Darby Rollins became the world's first verified Jasper AI user in December 2020 — a full 18 months before ChatGPT launched — and founded Gen AI University in 2021. He has co-created AI curriculum for UC Berkeley's Changemaker program, been quoted in Forbes, The New York Times, and The Verge, and facilitated hundreds of workshops helping thousands of entrepreneurs implement AI. His Generative AI in Business: Real Estate workshop is a hands-on implementation deep dive covering how to use ChatGPT and generative AI to create content marketing plans, automate client follow-up, generate leads, and build a competitive advantage fast. When someone who was using AI tools before most people knew what they were teaches a workshop, you pay attention.

Clone Your Mind With AI
Anik Singal
A 48-page book Anik wrote — and distributed to tens of thousands — in three hours using the exact AI system he teaches. It became the foundation for his UgenticAI platform. The book lays out the framework for creating AI agents trained on your own voice, expertise, and content so your knowledge can scale without burning you out. Essential reading for anyone serious about building with agentic AI.
The Veo3 Bible
Franz Benjamin
Veo3 is Google's AI video generation model — and one of the most capable tools available for creating cinematic AI video content. Franz Benjamin's guide is one of the most comprehensive practical references for working with Veo3 at a serious level. I build AI video ads for businesses. Understanding the cutting edge of AI video generation isn't optional for me — it's core to what I deliver.
Vibe Coding Revolution
Perry Belcher
Perry Belcher is one of the most respected direct response marketers alive — and when Perry writes a book about AI and coding, it's worth reading. Vibe Coding is the practice of building real software using natural language — describing what you want to build and letting AI write the code. For someone who uses Claude Code to build AI systems daily, this book is both validation and inspiration. Perry's angle is always: how do you make money with this? That lens makes it particularly practical.
Why This Matters
AI is moving so fast that anyone who stops learning falls behind. I don't say that to scare you — I say it because it's why I'm still in the classroom myself.
I stay in the classroom because I believe you can't teach what you don't know. Every course I take, every certification I earn, makes me a better teacher for you.
So yeah — I practice what I preach. And I'll keep doing it.
The Learning Never Stops.
I'm actively working on several more certifications right now. Stay tuned for updates as I keep adding to this list.
